Founded in 2008 by Marc Gopin, Aziz Abu Sarah and Scott Cooper, MEJDI is a full-service tour operator specializing in tailor-made tours to the Middle East.
A Jewish-Arab partnership with over 40 combined years of on-the-ground knowledge of the people and places of the Middle East, MEJDI provides unique and engaging tours for our clients by leveraging our professional backgrounds in education, business, tourism, religious studies, and conflict resolution.
MEJDI was founded with the belief that tourism can play a positive role in forging connections between our clients and the communities where we operate. As a result, the company strives to build relationships with local partners, provide responsible tours, and use our leverage to support small businesses, fair wage initiatives, and community projects in the places we work.
Our network of local partners also allows us to design customized tours that offer clients a nuanced perspective of the culture, history and narratives of the many communities in the region.
